There are obious lessons of what it feels like to kick and be kicked, how to avoid being kicked and how to anticipate and even draw out what your opponent might do, as well as what it feels like to be tested over your knowledge. There are also less obvious benefits like feeling what it is like to practice something so that you know it well enough to overcome a fear of performing or a fear of failure. Possibly the greatest lesson is knowing that you have the capacity to prepare for a test and to overcome known and unknown obstacles because you have faith in yourself and the support of your TKD family.
We encourage you all to participate.
