August is ripe with opportunity for Taekwondo Fun and growth as Martial Artists and people.

Ninja Camp is back!

Campers will learn and hone their mad ninja skills comprised of Taekwondo and Parkour techniques.  Ninja camp is for Martial Artists age 6+. Dae Myung Summer Camp with Master James Park (head instructor at Glendale Dae Myung and Grand Master Park's youngest son) coming up on August 17, 18 and 19th.

Grand Master Martin has coordinated the Dae Myung Taekwondo Camp at Clark Canyon Bible Camp near Dillon, Montana.  This camp is exclusively for schools who follow Grand Master Park's teachings.

We will receive instruction in Taekwondo, Judo and Hapkido.  Aside from the instruction in techniques participants will come home with tremendous exposure to the Philosophies of the Martial Arts we hold so dear.

Master James Park is a gifted teacher who has much to offer us in the way of martial arts knowledge and life philosophy.

This camp is open to ALL Belts and ages! We can not stress enough what a life changing opportunity this is and how seizing this moment is tremendously important.

The cost of camp is $130 which includes meals, lodging and instruction without instruction. The cost is $95.  This means families can attend.  All campers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please contact Mrs. R for questions about camps.

August 24th Belt Test

Our next colored belt test will take place on Friday August 24th.  Test times will be posted on August 22nd.  Students may test when they have learned all requirements.  Belt test requirements can be found at www.missoulatkd.com.

We always encourage our students to fit daily poomsae practice in their routine.  At most belt levels no more than 5 minutes per day is needed.  The Power Poomsae DVDs are still the best way to ensure proper practicing at home.  Available at MTC for $30 each or $50 for the entire set to take you all the way to black belt.

Also, remember to fill out your Dae Myung Application and pay your $15 annual membership fee before you can be promoted.

Aaron Rose and Sam Lehr not pictured
Our 2012 National Team from Missoula Taekwondo Center had a tremendous year of growth as martial artists and people, as well as a loft of fun along the way.

We are forming the 2013 MTC National Team now, with students handing in their hand written commitments already.  You can see the names already appearing on the front white board.

We do not have full details of the 2013 event but it will take place Summer of 2013 possibly in Chicago.  We highly encourage you to consider this as a TKD and life goal.  You will not be sorry you did.  MTC and the MTC Booster Club will fully support you in your quest to attain this and all other positive life and TKD goals.

Our initial informational meeting will be October 3rd.  We will ask for formal commitments (accompanied by commitment fees) by October 17th.
