More News from Detroit-Nationals

"The USA Taekwondo conducts its 2008 U.S. National Championship, Junior Olympic Championship and U.S. National Poomsae Team Trials events at Ford Field. More than 2,000 athletes ages 6-63, aided by about 500 coaches, will compete during the week." detnews.com

7/4--Kyle (view results), Mark (view results), Ryan (view results), and Dylan (view results), are all sparring today and Dylan is doing Forms as well.

-"Today wasn't our best fighting day, but Dylan still hasn't fought. Kyle, Ryan and Mark fought. All lost 1st fight, no one made it to gold. We are currently sitting watching fights. This morning seemed slow moving, but it is starting to pick up. :) Will blog later. I miss everyone and can't wait to be back to the Center." Abbey



-"Today is going okay. Some tough fights. They all lost their 1st, but that is the way it goes. Dylan still to go today." Mr. Rosbarsky

-"The food (here) is super expensive, like $7 for Nachos, $6 for a hot dog. Hunter fights tomorrow. They are hanging in there, long days waiting....Hope You're having a wonderful 4th! :)" Mr. Bartholomew


7/5 Hunter got bronze in forms and a bronze in sparring.

Detroit Happenings-News From Nationals

News from Nationals

7/1--"Sweet day so far...Kyle won his Open elite fin weight division (view results), Austin won all three of his fights in the open light weight (view results)."
Mr. Rosbarsky
They will fight in the adult world class divisions tomorrow.

7/2--"Kyle lost his first in Worlds. He pulled out of a 6 point deficit in the third and closed it to within 4 points. He fought awesome. Very cool and collected." Mr. Rosbarsky (view results)




--"Austin lost 4 to 3. Good day. We just need to get Austin working." Mr. Rosbarsky (view results)



7/3--"Three golds for Kyle so far. He won the junior open today(view results) and poomse (view Poomse results). Mark took 3rd in forms." Mr. Rosbarsky


--"After the long plane ride, it was nice to get some sleep. But the next morning we got up and came right to the Ford Field. When we got here, we checked in and Dylan went to weigh in. He is still in line. Kyle was the first fight in his division. He won 4-7. We are waiting for him to fight again. It is weird for me to sit in the stands and think I won't be able to walk out on the floor and compete, but I know this will get harder and harder for me..." Abbey
