Special TKD Opportunities

• We have the honor to host a 1 day sparring seminar on July 21st given by TJ Curry and Jared Reed both of World Taekwondo Center.  Among other accomplishments, TJ took 1st in the US Olympic Trials-Phase 7 in 2012. and was the 2010 National Champion.  Jared was the 2011 Collegiate National Champion and competed at the World University Games in Shenzen, China (with Master Rosbarsky).  Session 1, 10AM-12:30 will be for all ages and belt levels, Session 2, 1:30-5:30, will be for red and black belts (other belt levels by speical instructor invitation).  This is a tremendously affordable opportunity for world class instruction AND it is right here in our own gym.  The morning session is $25 and the after noon session is $40.  Both sessions are $50 total.  Registration forms available at MTC or online at missoulatkd.com.
• Teen Camp will be July 26th and 27th with an overnight at the Rosbarsky's.  This is open to all MTC teens yellow belt+ and all MTC Black Belt Instructors.  This is always a fun time to deepen the bonds that are already there.  The cost is $90. Black belts will receive a $50 discount.
• New this year we will have our Olympic Sports Camp July 30th-August 3rd.  We will not only do some spectacular sparring (TKD Sparring is a full medal Olympic Sport) but also engage in Gymnastics, Soccer, Swimming, Basketball and Volleyball (all Olympic Sports).  The camp will run daily 9-3 and cost $215.
• And Ninja Camp will be back! Tentatively scheduled for August 13-17th. This is a 1/2 day camp for $105.

 For all of these camps you can put your name on the list now because, of course, space is limited and our camps have a record of filling up.  Registrations will be available July 10th.

Through July and August we will have many opportunities for Taekwondo outside your regular classes.

Extra Summer Fun

Summer Camp for MTC
In July 2009 we hosted our first summer camp just for Taekwondo Teens.  It was great!  We will host the camp again this year on July 23rd and 24th. 
The camp cost is $80.  Early registration by July 15th will be  $75 .  Space is limited so early registration is highly encouraged.  Registration must be received by July 20th.
This camp is highly recommended for all MTC Red and Black Belt Teens.  There will be a good deal of Taekwondo and a good deal of fun and tons of bonding.  Master Rosbarsky will lead the camp with the help of MTC Black Belts.

MTC/STC at the River City Roots Festival, Creamery Picnic AND Demonstration Camp
Again this year the MTC/STC family will demonstrate at Missoula’s River City Roots Festival.  Our demonstration will take place in the Caras Park Pavilion on the 28th.  You may also choose to take part in the marching demonstratrion during the Creamery Picnic Parade on August 7th. To be a part of either of these Demos please plan to attend Demo Camp on August 3-5, 12-2 each day.  In conjunction Master Parks may hold a ceramics camp each day.  Each camp costs $55 or you can do both for $100 total.  All ages and belt levels are welcome.  Please express your interest in these ASAP to Mrs. Rosbarsky, as that will effect our planning.

Movie Nights, Lock Ins and Movie Outings

Finally, the time has come once again to host a MTC Movie Night.  All MTC 7-12 year olds are invited to our Movie Night/Lock in May 14th.  Kids come from 7:30PM to 8AM with their toothbrush, sleeping bag and willingness to have a good time.  We play games, watch movies, climb the walls (literally) and get some shut eye.  The cost is $25 and space is limited so sign up soon.


And our first ever Teen Lock in for 13-17 year old MTC family members will be May 21st from 7:30PM to 9:30AM.  We will have a battle of the bands, climb the rock wall, watch movies have popcorn and pizza all for $15 per person.  Sign up on the counter.

Summer Schedule

The Summer Schedule runs from 6/14--9/3.

There is an abbreviated Friday Schedule with just Poomse classes being held from 4pm-4:30pm for White Belt Poomse. and 4:30pm-5:30pm for all other Poomse. 

We will be closed for holidays July 2nd-5th.

In addition to regular classes, we will have camps throughout the summer. 

• Age 4-6: June 14-18, July 12-16, and August 9-13
• Age 7-12: June 14-18, June 21-25 and August 9-13
• Age 13-17: (red belt and up) July 23rd-24th  (overnight)

Extra Summer TKD Fun

Summer Camp for MTC Teens

We will host our first MTC Teen summer camp on July 31st--August 1st. The camp will include instruction, meals, team building and overnight at the Rosbarsky home. The camp is limited to MTC Red and Black Belts age 13-18.

The camp cost is $80. Early registration by July 15th will be $75. Space is limited so early registration is highly encouraged. Registration must be received by July 27th.

This camp is highly recommended for this year's Black Belt candidates as it will include 5 weeks worth of instruction in an energized 2 days. Master Rosbarsky will lead the camp with the help of multiple MTC Black Belts.

MTC Booster Club Ice Cream Social

On August 5th at 6PM in the front Dojang the Booster Club will host an Ice Cream Social and organizational meeting. You are invited to join us for some sweet treats and learn how to enhance your Taekwondo experience. Please plan to bring a topping or complimentary dessert like cookies or brownies.

The Booster Club is a member and parent run organization whose newly written mission statement is "The primary purpose of the Missoula Taekwondo Center Booster club is to encourage participation in Taekwondo Community activities that build stronger martial artists and stronger people. We will plan events and fundraising activities that support this principal and contribute to the great Missoula, Montana, United States and World Communities."

MTC at the River City Roots Festival AND Demonstration Camp

Again this year the MTC family will demonstrate at Missoula's River City Roots Festival on August 30th. Our demonstration will take place in the Caras Park Pavilion at 1PM on the 30th. To be a part of the Demo, please plan to attend Demo Camp on August 18-20, 9-11:30 each day. Each camp costs $55 or you can do both for $100 total. All ages and belt levels are welcome.

Battle of the Bands Teen Night

For the first time on February 28th, we will host a Teen Night at TKD for students age 13 and over. The cost will be $5 and includes the evenings activities, movies and pizza.

The highlight of the evening will be a Battle of the Bands on PS3 Guitar Hero World Tour. Bands of 4 people may enter the contest with the winning band receiving $50. Bands are encouraged to take a name and create an image with hair, makeup and wardrobe.

Doors open at 6:30PM with the Battle beginning at 7:00PM. Teens will be encouraged to leave at 10:30 and closing time is 11PM. Sign up ahead of time on the front counter and form your 4-piece bands (vocals, guitar, bass and drums) or leave yourself open to joining a band the night of the Battle.

Bring a bean bag to lounge on and join us for some great fun.
